From 2005 through 2008 Donna was involved in the planning, makeup, costumes and set design at the Annual Haunted House in Somerville, NJ,  presented by DeMuro Associates.   Proceeds go to the United Way of Somerset County.

Since October 2009, the Haunted Adventure takes place at Corner of Chaos, East Windsor, New Jersey.

1. Unless your skin is very oily, use moisturizer before and after your Halloween makeup (the guys too!) especially if you’re putting makeup on and off frequently and your skin feels dry.

2. Use a magnified mirror when you clean your face of makeup to make sure the makeup is out of your pores (you’ll be surprised what’s left behind).

3. Shop thrift shops and flea markets for odd and unusual things that can be used for costumes.

4. After Halloween some stores discount up to 75%. Buy costumes for next year.

5. To stay warm if you’re going to be out in the cold, cut the legs from a pair of pantyhose, poke holes for your fingers (where the toes would be), and wear them on your arms like a sleeve, as the first layer under your costume.

6. After you’ve cut off the pantyhose legs, use the panty part of the pantyhose to put over your hair under your wig.  Snip it a little if it’s too tight.
